Past Projects
#13 Tee Renovation
For this renovation, we were to make two small tees and make them a bigger tee. With the two tees being smaller, they were wearing out quicker and the distance we could provide became limited. So we make the tee bigger adding a tier to make the two tees level and add distance to the Member Tees
Getting Started
These are the two member tees on the par 3 #13. The initial idea with the two tees was to provide depth to the hole from these tees. With more play throughout time, these tee placements become limited and the tee gets worn quickly. So here we explain to our team the plain to make this one big tee.

Installing Drainage and Irrigation
After surveying and getting numbers, we've adjusted irrigation and installed drainage. Once this is completed, we survey the area and make sure our numbers match to grade for the tier. The sod from the tee itself was removed and reused from both tees. We needed just a bit more sod so we used some from our nursery green.

Finishing the Grade and the Fill
Here we continued to add fill to extend and match the lower tee to the higher tee. We also needed to make sure the tee surrounds and walk paths were properly graded and installed as well.

The New #13 Member Tee
This is the completed project. It took about 2.5 weeks to complete. We added depth to the member tee, while also providing more options for tee placement. This renovation also helps us to maintain it easier with less wear.

#9 Aldarra Tee Renovation
With this tee, we expanded it to allow for more tee placement and to give the Par 3 more depth to prepare for the Pac-12 championship in June 2022

Getting Started
Here we started with the removal of the sod on the #9th Aldarra Tee. The purpose for this renovation is the make the tee bigger for more tee placements, and to provide more depth for the hole.

Triangulating the Tee
This process ensures that the tee is square, and lines up with the other tees in front. We also use hand made stencils to help us round out the tee. Being this precise helps us to maintain the aesthetics that our members have grown to love.

New #9 Aldarra Tee
This is our finished project. We really did not have to adjust much irrigation which is a plus. Once this tee is grown in it will provide more of a challenge for our members and our students who will be playing at the Pac-12 Championship.
Other Projects
Here you will find some pictures and brief explanations on each. Each project is always dedicated to make the course better, and improve the aesthetics and playability of the course.
#6 Bunker Face Renovation
On this project, we cut back the face of the bunker and replaced it with ryegrass sod. Overtime, bunker faces can deteriorate and change shape. Typically from the splash of sand after a hit, and golfers trying to climb out of the steep faces. Weeds and moss can readily grow as well.

#5 Traqmatz Installation
For this project, we installed Traqmats. Traqmatz are designed to help eliminate wear on turf. On this project we stripped back the rye and native sod and replaced it. After we level the area and installed the Traqmatz. Once the native turf grows through the Traqmatz, less wear will be evident and traction will be provide for our members.

#12 Stair Installation
For this project, we coordinated with an outside company. They laid the stairs and we reshaped and laid sod around the stairs. This is one 7 stair projects we are doing on the course. We are replacing the original gravel walking paths and adding these stairs to make things looks up to date and overall eliminate having to maintain the existing walking paths. Each stair project takes about 3-4 days to install.
